Principal Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the requirements analysis and design for software applications or sub-components, coding or maintaining software applications or sub-components from specifications, following the established software development process.
  • Create appropriate process artifacts including requirements documentation, design documentation, and test plans.
  • Test applications as identified in the development methodology, and create necessary documentation.
  • Take direction from Project Manager and may lead and direct work of others on project specifications, and at times, prepare schedule and budget and manage to them.

Seeking an IT Systems Administrator. The primary function of the Systems Administrator is to support all company automated information systems. The position has direct responsibility for user support, system maintenance, installations and upgrades, and survivability of RadiantBlue Automated Information Systems and reports to the Director of Information Technology (IT).

Position Requirements:

  • Exceptional knowledge of computer and computer network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Experience in designing, deploying and supporting hardened computer systems and network systems based on NIST and DOD guidelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to include but limited to layer 3 networks, virtualized systems, Windows Servers and Workstations, Linux deployments, Firewalls, Exchange and Database Servers, and gateway services.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Workstation and Server operating systems. Proficient in the use of Active Directory, Security Policies, Group Policies, High-Availability Servers, Symantec BackupExec, Microsoft Exchange, Unified Messaging, SQL Databases, Lync Server, Microsoft Project, VMWare, and Hyper-V.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools and Office Suite.
  • Proficient in routing and firewall technologies including but not limited to programming of Cisco IOS and JUNOS.
  • Proficient in supporting classified (either ICD 503 or DCID 6/3) information systems administration. This includes but is not limited to experience with Windows and Linux system hardening requirements and procedures, system vulnerability scanning and mitigation, patch management, and associated tools.
  • Ability to manage short and long-term task assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelors in Information Technology (IT), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Four or more years of experience as a systems administrator or similar position.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Top Secret clearance and current favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

Preferred Experience/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the MAC OS.
  • Experience/familiarity with Linux operating systems(major distributions) to include hardening, maintaining, and auditing such systems.

  • Lumension and IpSwitch software.
